Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling is a man who is difficult to put in a category.

He is not calling himself a horsewhisperer and is not describing what he does with horses as a method. But only his presence calms down the most traumatised horses, so who is he and what is what is he doing?

Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling sat on a riding horse in a riding school for the first time when he was 29. Although the animal was known as the most trustfull mare of the stable she made him bite in the sand. That has something to do with me, Klaus F. Hempfling thought.

He went to the Pyrenees and  looked for a free living herd of horses and learned how horses        communicate. Now he is travelling around the world to show  people that it is worth to study/go deeper into the soul of the horse. You also will have benefit of it yourself!

The horse as a ‘Touchstone’

Hempfling: ”After I bit in the sand my fascination for horses only got  my bigger. But the togetherness with horses can be very  dangerous if you do not understand why they are acting the way they do. They are such big and powerfull animals! Breaking a horse stroke me against my chest, so the only thing left was to study the being of the horse.”

During his stay in the Pyrenees Hempfling learned a lot about horses, but even more about himself. For example it is difficult to come to something together with a horse when your inner feelings and your outer presence are not in one line. In other words: horses do not like pretenders, exagerators, bully’s and people who blow themselves up, because they do not feel save in their company.

For horses it is very important to distinguish a person who is playing the boss from someone who really is the boss. In people this instinct has been quite lost and in history this brought us in the arms of people who where possesed by power. In horses this instinct is still perfectly working and according to Hempfling you can do your advantage with it as a human being.

The Great Value of a Horse

“When you are tensed, but pretend to be relaxed then a horse immediately registrates this and is reacting with suspicion, goes way from you or starts to fight. Do something about it is the message. The great value of a horse is that he can be a ‘touchstone’ for you. Is the horse suddenly becoming uncontrollable and do you not understand why ? Then take a closer look into yourself: How do you feel ? Are you yourself or lived by others ? Do you take good care of yourself?

Horses also mirror your physical state. If your horse has physical complaints and you can’t find out why, then it is possible that you have lookalike complaints which you neglect. Take care of yourself and the chance is quite big that also the complaints of the horse will disappear. The language of the horse-of the senses, his body and the awareness and feeling of being here and in the present tells you about how true you are towards your true self! A messager like this should be treated with great respect. That is my message !”
